GLA Group Collaboration

A Mentor agrees to:

• Commit to mentoring for a minimum of one active mentoring relationship per year (e.g. a minimum of 3 sessions of approximately 1 hour per mentee)
• Take responsibility for maintaining an up-to-date mentor profile using the online Hub system
• Proactively check the GLA Group Collaboration Mentoring Hub and respond to mentee requests within two weeks of being received
• Record mentoring activity on the GLA Group Collaboration Mentoring Hub
• Continue professional development as a mentor
• Actively support and role model GLA Group Collaboration Principles and Codes of Ethics (both those set within own organisation, if in place, and for the GLA Group Collaboration Mentoring Hub)
• Meet or communicate regularly with your mentee to review their progress and help them work toward identified goals
• Respect your mentee's time and other responsibilities, ensuring you do not impose beyond what is reasonable and giving your mentee as much notice as possible if it is likely, you may miss an appointment, trying every possible channel of communication
• The sharing of anonymised information to support the Mentoring strategy and culture
• The sharing of mentor's information between own organisation and other collaborating organisations on mentoring activities
• Provide input into requested programme evaluations (i.e. provide feedback on experiences at various stages of the mentoring relationship).

• Maintain confidentiality of our relationship at all times
